Introduction

Filling Out Surveys

Focus on Hard Skills

Surveys focus primarily on hard skills that directly impact achieving a team’s KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). For example:

  • A skill like “management” can be difficult to quantify unless you’re assessing a team of project managers responsible for delivering implementation projects.

Skills should reflect their relevance and importance to the team’s operations and help identify potential gaps that could pose risks.

Note: For lower management, the importance of the “Management” skill is typically not higher than 3 out of 5.

Survey Frequency

  • All Employees: Respond to survey questions once per quarter.
  • Managers: Complete an additional “Skill Table” to track:
    • Core skills necessary for the team’s performance (aligned with KPIs).
    • The relative importance of each skill (on a scale of 1–5).
    • Team members’ current skill levels.

Manager-Specific Features

  • Skill Table Updates: Managers can access their previously completed skill tables, update them as needed, and submit them as part of the new quarterly response.
  • Team Reminders (TBD): Managers may also remind team members to complete their surveys via email.

By ensuring surveys are completed regularly and focusing on relevant hard skills, teams can effectively monitor progress, address knowledge gaps, and maintain operational performance.
